This product is in the form of a Granule and is packaged in a Box. This important grain has ancient origins, dating back over five thousand years to the vast and mighty Inca civilization of South America. Quinoa was so important to the Inca culture; they referred to it as the Mother Grain. Organic, Wheat free, Gluten free.
As a grain, quinoa is gluten free. Ancient Harvest Quinoa is grown exclusively in the high Andean Altiplano regions of Bolivia. Ancient Harvest’s quinoa is grown at 12,000+ foot elevations in very arid conditions which will not support traditional gluten bearing grain production, therefore insuring no possibility of potential field contamination with such grains. Their Inca Red and Black whole grain Quinoa is then cleaned, processed and packed in a quinoa-only organic and gluten free facility.
