What Makes Royal Coat Express A Better Choice?
Good health for all mammals requires adequare intakes of EFA's.
While we agree that pets need Omega-3 (wild fish oil), we don't agree on the need for Omega-6 (borage oil). Pets need a balance of both.
Most people know we get a lot of Omega-6 in our daily diets - unfortunately it's not the type of Omega-6 that is beneficial. Commercial pet foods, raw food diets, and especially 'people food' and table scraps contain an overabundance of Omega-6. OMEGA-6 FROM THOSE SOURCES CREATE AA (Arachidonic Acid), and acts to DECREASE the benefits of Omega-3. Here at Ark Naturals we call that bad Omega-6.
Omega-6 from good sources is extremely beneficial for pet's diets. A great source of good Omega-6 is borage oil. Omega-6 (borage oil) converts to LA (linolenic acid0 which further converts to GLA (gamma linolenic acid) Your pets- both dogs and cats CANNOT produce GLA naturally - it has to be added to their diets.
GLA - Omega-6 (borage oil) decreases the negative effects of the bad Omega-6 we get in our daily diets & also helps make Omega-3 more effective in helping your pets skin and coat issues.
Royal Coat Express is very concentrated. You need to use very little for EFA benefits. It's a great value for savvy pet guardians.
Finally....How do you know if your pet is not getting enough Omega's in their diet. It's pretty simple. If your pet has dry, flaky, itching skin. Excessive pet shedding (more than their usual for their breed)......If your pet's skin is red or sore - chances are adding Royal Coat to their diet will help. Use daily.
