"I don't typically leave a review for things like skin products since there are so many variables pertaining to skin types. If a product does not work for my particular skin type, I don't necessarily think that it won't work for someone else since my skin is not representative of anyone else's. However, in this case, I feel compelled to speak out! I do not have sensitive skin by any stretch of the imagination, but this product caused my skin to burn and turn bright red within seconds of application. I immediately washed it off, and within about 20 minutes, the burning stopped, although the redness lasted for another hour or so. I was going to put it in the trash can, but my grown daughter said she wanted to give it a try. She had the exact same results. It went straight into the trash. I didn't think about it again until I happened upon it on Vitacost. Out of curiosity, I read the reviews and was a bit surprised to see that other people had the exact same reaction. It sounds like most of the people who have had bad reactions are as unused to the experience as I was. In hindsight, I believe that I should have called BWC and spoken to someone who could have checked to see if a certain lot or batch was bad? Too late for that now, but I would just warn people that this product caused me some painful burning, and it is the first facial product to have ever caused me that reaction."

"I like this mask a lot. You do feel it on your skin and this is what it has to be. You want your mask works. May be it is not for very sensitive skin but for the normal one it is very good.
After mask my skin feels soft, clean, and looks younger."

"I had the same experience as the other reviewer when I used this mask. My face began to tingle and then burn until it looked like I had a sunburn on my face. Thankfully the pain and redness went away but my face was no more hydrated than it was before. I love the BWC line of products but beware of this one, even if you don't have very sensitive skin."

"I have been using the Beauty Without Cruelty Vitamin C, Renewal Cream and loving it. When I purchased the cream, I also bought this mask trying to really get my dry skin back in order. I tried the mask today and as soon as I put it on, my face started to feel funny... and after 3 minutes, I could tell my skin was red and it was starting to burn (and it says to leave on for 10-15 minutes and can be used daily). I washed it off, and now look like I have a severe sunburn on my face. My skin feels hot and burning still and it's been 30 minutes. I'm returning the product, and would recommend that if you value your skin, don't buy this."
