Wheat Germ is the heart of the wheat berry. It has a delicious nutty flavor, and is packed with nutrition. For a scant 60 calories and one and a half grams of dietary fiber, thirteen percent of recommended daily value of folic acid, ten percent of recommended daily value of phosphorus, magnesium and zinc, and fifteen percent of your vitamin E and thiamin requirements. It is a cholesterol and sodium free food, and its fat is unsaturated. You can use Wheat Germ to replace up to one half cup of flour when baking cookies, muffins and breads. Use it as a topping for fruit pies, fruit salads, yogurt and ice cream, or as a nutritious breading for chicken or fish and as filler for meatballs and meatloaf. "I tried adding this to my fruit smoothies for additional nutritional (with already added soy protein and flax seed meal). I expected no taste from it but surprisingly it ruined the taste for me. I even tried dropping from two to one tablespoon. I had to throw it out - and I bought two!"

"oh man! I loved this wheat germ. I got my mom in laws granola recipe and made it everyday. so perfect in every category. cooks great. My favorite part about making granola was sticking my hands in the bowl to mix. Wheat Germ stuck a lil to my hands, I enjoyed licking it off."

"I use this product every morning, I put 2 tbls along with Bob's Flax Seed Meal with raw oatmeal/whey protein powder/bluberries/pomegranate/sliced banana/pineapple/raisins/natural honey with skim milk. Takes a large bowl to fit everything in, but it's a great healthy breakfast. I love it!"
