"I'm a whole wheat seeker and thought I'd try this as other Couscous are not whole wheat.

Kernels are too tiny and made for a sour mush.

Will not order again."

"I love couscous, but Vitacost is the only place I have been able to find plain, whole wheat couscous. I use it in the place of rice, especially as a bed for vegetable stirfry dishes. One box makes a huge amount, and you can't beat this price!"

"Vitacost is the ONLY place I have found 100% whole grain couscous. Not even my health food store carries it. The price is low, and the box says it makes 8 servings, I think, but one box makes a HUGE amount of couscous. You can make real Moroccan couscous (great recipe on box) or use it in the place of rice, which is what I do. It cooks in 5 minutes, and you only boil water. Cheap, convenient, simple, and delicious!"

Casbah Organic Whole Wheat Couscous Original Directions

Stove Top Directions

1 Serving:
Couscous, uncooked - 1/3 cup
Water, broth or milk - 2/3 cup
Salt (optional) - Pinch
Olive Oil or Butter (optional) - 1 tsp

1. In a medium saucepan combine water with (optional salt, olive oil or butter) and bring just to a boil.
2. Stir in couscous and cover.
3. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
4. Fluff couscous with a fork. Enjoy!

Microwave

1. In a 2-quart microwaveable casserole dish add water and (optional salt).
2. Microwave on HIGH until boiling.
3. Add couscous and (optional olive oil or butter). Stir and cover. Let stand 5 minutes.
4. Fluff couscous with a fork before serving. Enjoy!
