"I bought the DE Raspberry Shampoo and wasn't entirely thrilled with it's performance so I was expecting the same lack luster results from this. I have to say, though, I was pretty pleased with this.
It has the same weird raspberry scent as the shampoo, but somehow it smells better when you actually use this. The weird aroma this duo has, I think, is largely due to it being actual raspberries in which the scent is pulled from. But, something is OFF about it. Like vanilla extract with the alcohol smell. I think the preservatives interact with the scent. I don't know; it just smells weird to me. BUT, it lingers in the hair and after it's been applied, it smells more like fresh raspberries than in the bottle.
Regarding it's efficacy as a conditioner -- I usually require a thicker, heavier conditioner due to my curly, frizz-prone hair, and this pretty much fits the bill. I would prefer it if it was more emollient, holding the moisture IN my hair for longer, but compared with other natural conditioners I've used, it's pretty good.
Besides the things I've mentioned, I don't really see any negatives or cons to this product. (Though, it IS a little pricy given the size of the bottle, even on this site.) I can't testify to it's shine enhancing quality too much since my hair is curly, and I use product, but it pleases me enough that that isn't an issue for me.
I always alternate conditioners, to give my hair different strength moisturizers, but, given it's pleasing scent and how it works, this'll definitely be part of my rotating arsenal."
