"Have only used this product once; can't seem to bring myself to use it again! Nothing wrong with it ... I guess I'm just not that imaginative! Has a pretty strong sour taste."

"if you haven't bought this because you're not sure what it's for...try it! it's tangy and salty and delicious! it's also fabulous for digestion and for alkaline diets. my mother used to give me a piece of pickled plum for upset stomach--this is a paste but i think it's more economical and handy than whole plums. i'm trying to add more fermented foods to my diet but i HATE sauerkraut & kimchi, & cucumber pickles make me ill. you can use it where you would vinegar, and it will also thicken a salad dressing--i recommend mixing it with a nut butter, rice vinegar, miso, and a little mashed garlic. it's good mixed in with rice, either on its own or in the above dressing recipe. just start out slowly...think of it more as a salt than a pickle, as too much can ruin a recipe! umeboshi vinegar is really good, too."
