"I bought this after reading all the great things about umeboshi plums. It arrived packaged well and although it was sealed and fresh, I hated the way it tasted. I spit it out and wash my mouth out, it was that bad."

"very alkaline food. has a very salty and sour flavor, an acquired taste. i use a small amount when i make my own salad dressings. you can also use it to make sauces. it's a good way to incorporate fermented foods in your diet. i would't cook with it if you want to preserve the nutrients."
