"I had high hopes for this baking powder. I care for my elderly mother, who is on a low sodium diet, and baking is always a problem due to the high sodium content in regular baking powders.
Well, my hopes were dashed time and again while using this powder. My biscuits wouldn't rise, cornbread was flat, dry and heavy as a stone. Also, everything I baked with it had a mild bitter taste.
I used the product as the label specifies, added as the last ingredient and rushed it to the oven quickly.
I also, as directed on the label, used 2-3 times the called for amount in recipes. On one batch of biscuits I even used 4 times the called for amount and they still didn't rise.
I sadly can't recommend this product, I guess it's back to the old heavy sodium baking powder and restrict my mothers consumption of baked goods."
