"I once read in a prestigious medical letter that the best way to tell if your calcium supplement was really being absorbed was to submerge it in either hot water or vinegar for a half hour and see how it broke down. This little experiment would mimic the action of digestion in your stomach. I did this with Ethical Nutrients Bone Builder and was surprised to discover that in over four hours (at which point I abandoned the experiment) the calcium supplement had still not been broken down by either of the solutions. This did not boost my confidence about the ability of this supplement to do its job. I'm sticking with my old supplement from Solgar which readily dissolved in the allotted 30 minute time and which costs a lot less."
