Best tasting bar I've ever had, May 2, 2009

"The title says it all, this was the best tasting protein bar ever. And I've tried a lot of 'em. Typically I try to eat protein bars that have a 10:1 ratio of grams of protein to calories. These don't quite reach that mark(they have 30g protein to 350 calories). That's not a BAD ratio, however, but it's just not 'excellent'. Even still, I'll continue to eat these bars for a long time because they're high quality AND the taste is amazing."

good bar could be better, June 13, 2008

"I have been a long time user of detour bars. I thought they were always the best tasting and had the most protein available. I had stopped purchasing detour bars due to an injury but now that i have healed and started trainging again i needed to supplement my diet. I did not realize how salty tasting these bars are, and when i looked i saw a whopping 480 mmg of salt in each bar! Is it really nec to add that much salt. I am also not crazy about the saturated fat content but i was willing to have the added fat to get 30 grams of protein. Still a good bar though."

"This bar tastes great without all of the sugar that most other bars contain. I use this bar to satisfy my hunger in between meals or as a meal replacement."
