"People are right, this doesn't leave your hair crunchy. And to be fair, it does do a good job of making my wavy hair curlier... but it's sort of like glue when it dries. Maybe it's best for straight hair. It looks nice when I use it on my hair, but try to run your fingers through it and they'll get stuck!"

"This is definitely an average styling "tonic"; it is not thick enough to be labeled as a lotion in my opinion.

Very messy! It should be bottled in a spray bottle, not a snap top bottle.

It does make my waves very shiny and they stay in tact most of the day without stiffness. Works good in humid climates."

But it definitely made my curls curly, shiny, manageable and not crunchy. Works well as a curl refresher, also. Can't beat the price (thanks, Vitacost!), love the non-toxic ingredients, looking forward to experimenting with straight styling, buying several more Giovanni products right now!"

"This lotion does not qualify as lotion! It's watery, for one, it smells horrible & for my medium length hair it took a lot(it spilled all over the counter & floor!). I have coarse, naturally wavy hair and desperately need a product to soften & de-frizz. This was not it. It left my hair crispy to the touch. Yes, it was "tousled" if you want a big frizzy mess in front of your face.Though it can be used for straightening, which I have to do most of the time begrudgingly, I do not want that in my hair ever again and the shipping cost to send it back is as much as the bottle!"
