"I love the depth and richness of my color. What especially thrilled me is that I have terribly sensitive skin and other allergies. I've been using another brand of natural hair color which to now was the the best thing I could find, giving me a mild headache and some skin reaction that I could live with. With the Herbatint I had NO reaction!

They say 100% gray coverage. I would call it more 85-90% but still very good coverage. Just make sure you have applicator brush. You can use your hand or some other technique but it's a bit messy that way."

"I thought this was a surprise because some natural hair coloring products are not permanent. This is the fourth time I have used Herbatint and not once have I been disappointed. The value is always a good choice on vitacost; the quality was excellent without ANY burning of my head; it is just as or more so effective than ammonia products and I am totally satisfied with this product. Herbatint Permanent Herbal Haircolour Gel 4M Mahogany Chestnut Directions

Use only on dry hair. Using a plastic or a glass container only, combine equal amounts of Herbatint with the glycol developer (included in pack). Make sure the mixture has been thoroughly blended before application. Put on the gloves (included in pack).

For non-treated hair, apply colour mixture onto dry hair, making sure that the hair shaft from root to end is fully covered. Wait for 40 minutes. For previously dyed or permed hair, apply a portion of the mixture on dry roots first, wait 30 minutes and then apply the remaining mixture onto the rest of the hair. Wait an additional 10 minutes.

Rinse out Herbatint mixture thoroughly with water until the rinse water is clear, then wash hair using a natural pH shampoo such as Herbavita Normalising Shampoo. Then apply a natural pH conditioner such as Royal Cream. Wait 5 minutes and rinse again.

Warnings

This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary patch test, according to accompanying instructions should be made prior to each application.
This product must not be used for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows. To do so may cause blindness.
Avoid contact with eyes. Should mixture come into contact with eyes, rinse immediately with cool water.

Allergy Test
Wash an area of skin about the size of a dime inside your elbow. Pat dry and apply a few drops of a mixture of HERBATINT® color and Glycol Developer. Leave uncovered and undisturbed for 48 hours. Do not use this product if any burning, itching or abnormal reaction occurs in or around the test area.
