"This product works fine if mixed. I took another person's recommendation and mixed it with I think 7N. It is not recommended to be used alone and says so in the description. My hair has a tendency to become brassy, using this along with the dark blonde worked well. My hair is naturally medium brown, so with that combination my gray hair looks like blonde highlights."

"I just read through the other reviews and no wonder that the outcome of this product was less than favorable.
Herbatint Permanent Herbal Haircolour Gel 7 C Ash Blonde is NOT intended to be used on its own. It is intended to be mixed with 7N to take out brassiness or reddish tones. I've colored my grey roots with a mixture of 50/50 with it and it definitely was not as reddish as last time. I've sent an email to Herbatint's customer service, asking how I could tone down the reds from 7 N (which is suppose to be a natural mid blond tone). I was advised to mix 7C at either 50% with 7N or even at 60%. Next time I'll try 60% but 50% was already a huge improvement.

"I used this hair color once fefore.
It is OK; I still get some skin discomfort and it doesn't cover my Grey for 100%, I would say probably for 80%.
I know only one product which is 100% natural - Henna, but I do not like the color choices, so I have to use this one."

"This product did not work for me. It made my hair red and had a very harsh smell to it. It also stains anything it comes in contact with.
It comes with no application bottle and you are on your own in trying to get something to apply it with."

Herbatint Permanent Herbal Haircolour Gel 7C Ash Blonde Directions

Use only on dry hair. Using a plastic or a glass container only, combine equal amounts of Herbatint with the glycol developer (included in pack). Make sure the mixture has been thoroughly blended before application. Put on the gloves (included in pack).
For non-treated hair, apply colour mixture onto dry hair, making sure that the hair shaft from root to end is fully covered. Wait for 40 minutes. For previously dyed or permed hair, apply a portion of the mixture on dry roots first, wait 30 minutes and then apply the remaining mixture onto the rest of the hair. Wait an additional 10 minutes.
Rinse out Herbatint mixture thoroughly with water until the rinse water is clear, then wash hair using a natural pH shampoo such as Herbavita Normalising Shampoo. Then apply a natural pH conditioner such as Royal Cream. Wait 5 minutes and rinse again.

Glycol Developer: water, hydrogen peroxide, etidronic acid, wild marjoram extract, thyme extract, cinnamon extract, rosemary extract, lavender extract, golden seal root extract, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, propylene glycol, simethicone. Royal Cream conditioner: water, mallow extracts, rosemary extract, behentrimonium chloride, wheat bran lipids, fragrance.

Warnings

This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary patch test, according to accompanying instructions should be made prior to each application.
This product must not be used for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows. To do so may cause blindness.
Avoid contact with eyes. Should mixture come into contact with eyes, rinse immediately with cool water.

Allergy Test
Wash an area of skin about the size of a dime inside your elbow. Pat dry and apply a few drops of a mixture of HERBATINT® color and Glycol Developer. Leave uncovered and undisturbed for 48 hours. Do not use this product if any burning, itching or abnormal reaction occurs in or around the test area.
