Resveratrol Life Tonic contains Resveratrol Extract, a naturally occurring phytoalexin (Alexin is from the Greek, meaning to ward off or to protect) found in the roots, seeds, stalk and grape skins of grapevines (Vitis vinifera L.). Resveratrol is also found in significant amounts in the dried roots and stems of the plant Polygonium cuspidatum, also known as the Japanese knotweed. Wine also contains resveratrol as well as other polyphenols and is thought to account, in large part, for the co-called French Paradox - the finding that the frequent consumption of red wine in France has contributed to berrer cardiovascular health as compared to other industrialized nations with similar risk factors. Now with Resveratrol Life Tonic, the benefits of resveratrol are delivered in a highly concentrated liquid form for better absorption by the body.
