"Advertised as a gardenia scent, it is my opinion that this oil smells nothing like the flower, and instead like an unpleasant mix of liquid pink soap and bubble gum. However, there is no denying that it really moisturizes and is a high quality body oil. Unfortunately, if you are looking for fragrant gardenia scent, you may want to try again."

"The scent is not too strong. I added some gardenia oil that I already had to make it stronger. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes my skin. I like using it in the summer to tan. I hate the smell of tanning lotions. It gives me a nice color but be careful because it doesn't have SPF."

"It smells good and moisturizes GREAT. It's small (4oz), and most times, it is not liquid, but solid, so most nights, I was not able to use it. It did not last long. Went by fast. I will try Alba's oil. It is very similar to this, 4oz more, and good ingredients. If this had more product and remained liquid at room temperature, I would buy again. Thanks."

"I love this product. Years ago my daughter brought me a very small bottle of this back from a vacation in California. I was so happy to find it at Vitacost. It just makes my skin so silky and it smells like heaven. I put the bottle in the shower so it is melted by the time I finish and I rub it in before I dry off. It is wonderful."
