This product is essentially an herbal single product, with the exception of Rosemary and Spirulina added. We know of no studies to support their use in depression, and it is not readily apparent why they are included.
The hyperforin component was optimal at 10.3mg/capsule for a total daily dose (TDD) of 30.89, or 114.4% of our reference value. The hypericin content was 0.658mg/capsule for a TDD of 1.97 or 73.1%, slightly
below our reference, but based on the available literature is less important than hyperforin content.
This product is a liquid extract which is described as certified organic. It’s hypericin content was 0.073 mg/cc. At a dose of 3 cc/day, this would yield 8.1% of our reference value of hypericin. Hyperforin was not detected in the product.
