 Mountain House® freeze-dried foods are packed in airtight NITROGEN PACKED #10 cans. Up to 98% of the residual oxygen has been removed. Our unique canning process uses both vacuum oxygen removal and nitrogen flushing. This is a time consuming and slightly more costly process…but well worth it. It is the same process mandated by the U.S. Military for whom we also can. Our foods will have the longest shelf life available…up to 30 years! We've been around for 40 years so we know first hand. We invite you to compare. Each can is coated with a protective enamel inside and out for double protection, including the lid. The can contents are protected until you are ready to open and use them. After opening, we recommend using the contents within 1 week for best results and taste; using the convenient resealable plastic lid between uses. Treat any leftover food as you would fresh food.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

DO NOT OPEN UNTIL READY TO USE

Optimum storage is at normal room temperature conditions. After opening, reseal unused contents with plastic reclosable lid.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

To Prepare 4 Servings:

1. Open Can.

2. a) Discard oxygen absorber packet.

b) Remove an empty preparation pouch and a Raspberry Crumble Kit which consists of one pouch each of raspberry sauce mix and chocolate cookie crumbs.

3. a) Detach oval closure ring from baseboard of empty preparation pouch.

b) Place preparation pouch on a flat surface.

c) Open raspberry sauce mix pouch and emmpty into preparation pounch.

d) Carefully add 1 1/3 cups (11 oz) BOILING WATER while holding top of pouch.

4. Stir thoroughly to wet all ingredients, while continuing to hold top of pouch.

5. Twist top of pouch and slip through oval closure ring.

6. Wait 5 minutes. Fold back top edge of pouch. Sprinkle chocolate cookie crumbs over preapred raspberry sauce. 7. Serve Hot or Cold.
