How Does NSI® 100% Pure Eucalyptus Oil work?
NSI® 100% Pure Eucalyptus Oil is a highly concentrated, undiluted extract that’s steam distilled from leaves of the Eucalyptus globulus tree, native to Australia and Tasmania. Long renowned for its cooling, soothing effects, eucalyptus oil may offer relief from head and chest congestion, acting as a mucolytic expectorant to help loosen phlegm in the respiratory passages. It’s often included as an ingredient in cough drops, syrups and lozenges as well as in vapor rubs and ointments.

Rich in cineole (eucalyptol), a natural compound that’s often used in mouthwashes, eucalyptus oil has natural antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It may promote healthy gums and mouth tissue by helping to fight bacteria in the mouth. Eucalyptus oil can also be used to cleanse the skin and soothe minor skin irritations, or to relieve sore muscles and joints.

Eucalyptus essential oil is considered “cooling, refreshing and revitalizing.” It’s typically used in aromatherapy to:

Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils extracted from different parts of aromatic plants to support mental and physical health and well-being. Because they’re highly concentrated, essential oils are usually diluted in a carrier oil such as almond, olive, grapeseed or jojoba prior to use. Aromatherapy practices may include massage, inhalation, full-body bath, hand/foot bath, facial steaming, facial masks, compresses, spritzers, perfume and flavoring. Essential oils may also be used for household purposes such as room fragrance (using diffuser or humidifier), laundry, cleaning, dish washing and more.

Essential oils are susceptible to the effects of heat, light, oxygen and moisture. It’s recommended that they be kept away from direct sunlight, at room (or slightly lower than room) temperature. Be sure bottles are tightly closed after each use.

Warning: Do not apply essential oils directly to the skin unless directed to do so by a qualified aromatherapist. Most essential oils are not for internal use.
