"I've been taking this 5-HTP for more than 6 months now and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. In fact, I'm running low and need to place an order. I usually take this at night, a few hours before I go to bed... around 8-9 pm at the latest. If I take it within that hour, my morning wake-up is good. If I take it later, I do notice that I'm a bit groggy trying to wake up. It really does help me sleep more soundly and more deeply. The morning after taking 5-HTP, I like to take 750mg of L-Tyrosine (I've been using the same brand - NSI) to give me a little boost since I don't drink caffeine/coffee. Anyway, it's a great supplement if taken correctly. For example, I don't like to take this in the morning because it gives me a funny feeling... kind of winds me down too much, which is not good when you're trying to work! Taken at night, it's perfect. I don't take it every night... just when I think I might need it."
