How does NSI® Acid Redux™ work?
Acid Redux™ is an all-natural proprietary blend of acid buffering agents that may comfort the digestive system and help promote proper body pH levels.

Body pH refers to the level of acidity or alkalinity of the blood or other body fluids. Maintaining a slightly alkaline body pH may be beneficial for health. An acidic body environment may negatively influence the body's absorption of protein and minerals, as well as interfere with the production of enzymes and hormones. Several conditions, including gout, irritable bowel syndrome and fibromyalgia may be exacerbated by an acidic body pH.

Acid Redux™ includes a combination of alkaline substances that may promote proper body pH levels, which can be especially important for individuals whose diets are heavy in acidic foods and beverages (including soft drinks, coffee, alcohol, meat, cheese, bread, pasta, rice, ketchup, table salt, sweeteners and more).

Acid Redux™ contains H+ (positive hydrogen) ions, plus calcium, magnesium and potassium. This combination allows the minerals to be more effective in neutralizing acid that causes irritation, restores oxygen to the blood and may help soothe irritated tissues. Acid Redux™ has a stronger pKa (strength of base) than other antacids, helping to initiate the buffering effect on the H+ ion for a quicker and longer-lasting relief effect.

This supplement's capsule form allows the active ingredients to help neutralize stomach acid, while also continuing to dissolve in the upper intestine, where they may influence the acidity of the body's other fluids (first blood, then urine, then other fluids).

Small amounts of vitamin D and neutralized vitamin C have also been included to assist with the absorption of calcium and to also contribute to body pH balance.
