How does NSI® Activated Charcoal work?
Activated charcoal is a fine black carbon powder that contains naturally absorbent materials. The highly absorptive properties of these materials provide activated charcoal with an ability to help keep potentially toxic substances from being assimilated the body’s gastrointestinal tract. NSI® Activated Charcoal contains 280 mg of readily digestible activated charcoal per each capsule serving.
Activated charcoal assists in lowering the absorptive capacity of certain unhealthy fatty acids and fatty alcohols, which may favorably affect lipid levels and help to support healthy cholesterol levels. Charcoal encourages healthy digestion by absorbing toxins in the stomach and intestines. It also helps absorb gas and neutralize gas producing food combinations.
