How does NSI® Blessed Thistle work?
Blessed Thistle (Cnicus benedictus) is an herb not commonly cultivated, but often found growing wild in regions of Asia and Europe. It is also found throughout the Southern United States and the Pacific Coast. It has traditionally been used to alleviate stomach upset, indigestion, constipation and gas. Its bitter properties stimulate bile flow and help cleanse the liver. In fact, the herb is commonly known as “bitters” and is often used to encourage appetite and support sound digestion. Lactating women have also used it to help stimulate blood flow to the mammary glands, facilitating the flow of milk.
Blessed thistle contains cnicin, a constituent that helps stimulate cellular regeneration and promotes anti-inflammatory activity within the body. Cnicin, along with another ingredient called polyacetylene, encourages anti-bacterial activity, detoxification and cleansing. Blessed thistle has been used to help strengthen and tonify the body, encourage blood circulation and promote healthy heart and brain function.
Blessed thistle also goes by other colorful names such as holy thistle, cursed thistle, St. Benedict’s thistle, Our Lady’s thistle, bitter thistle, spotted thistle, blessed cardus and cursed cardus.
NSI® Blessed Thistle is better because it:
-- Contains 680 mg of blessed thistle in each safe, convenient 2 capsule serving
-- Exhibits properties that contribute to good digestion and anti-bacterial activity
-- Is a better value when compared to other brands
