How does NSI® Celery Seed work?
NSI® Celery Seed is the dried fruit (the tiny brown seed with a celery-like flavor and aroma) of the plant species Apium graveolens. Its name is taken from the prehistoric Indo-European word for water because celery grows best in wet soil and marshes.
Celery Seed is a natural diuretic that helps promote the flow of urine through the kidneys and increases uric acid excretions, which helps to clear the system of toxins. It may help ease urinary inflammation and benefit the overall health of the urinary tract. It may also aid in the maintenance of healthy joints and help flush away the uric acid crystals that can build up around the joints in some tissue to irritation conditions, thereby reducing swelling and pain.
Rich in antioxidants including phthalides and polyacetylenes, Celery Seed also contains the essential volatile oil apiol, beta-carotene, calcium, choline, folate, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, sulfur, zinc, scopoletin, coumarin, essential fatty acids, amino acids, rutin, B-vitamins and vitamins A, C, E and K.
Although Celery seed is said to be a stimulant (particularly in kidney function), it is also known as a sedative that may help calm stressed nerves, promoting restfulness and sleep. Celery Seed is thought to have a calming effect on the digestive system, enhancing appetite while helping to relieve gas and indigestion. It may also support a healthier heart.
NSI® Celery Seed is better because it:
- Has natural diuretic and cleansing properties to enhance joint and urinary tract health
- Contains the most potent and highest quality nutrients
- Provides a better value than other brands
