How Does NSI® Creapure® Creatine work?
Creatine is an amino acid (protein building block) that supplies energy to muscle cells. The body produces about half of the creatine it needs daily, and the other half is obtained through foods such as fish, meat and milk.

Approximately one-third of the creatine stored in the body is in its free form as creatine, while the rest is bound to phosphate and called "creatine phosphate" or "phosphocreatine." During high-intensity exercise, phosphocreatine is broken down, releasing energy that’s used to recreate adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP is the main "fuel" source that drives many of the body’s biological processes, including muscle contraction. Creatine is believed to promote enhanced performance by replenishing levels of ATP.

In addition to having positive effects on physical performance, creatine may also benefit mental performance. Like muscle cells, brain and nerve cells use ATP for energy. During times of high energy needs (physical or mental), creatine is makes ATP accessible. If creatine levels are increased, there is more energy available for the body to use.

As a dietary supplement, take 1 scoop daily or as directed by a physician.

For loading: take 1 serving (5 grams), 4 times per day (20 grams), for 5 days with 16 oz. water or non-acidic juice (e.g. apple or grape).

For maintenance: take 1 serving (5 grams) daily with 16 oz. water or non-acidic juice. 6-8 glasses of water should be consumed daily with creatine supplementation.
