How does NSI® D-glucosyltransferase work?
NSI® D-glucosyltransferase is an enzyme derived from Aspergillas niger. When taken with a meal, it is capable of converting maltose to isomaltose and panose, potentially reducing the glucose content of starchy foods. It helps retard the rate of carbohydrate digestion in the body, delaying glucose absorption and helping reduce the spike in blood glucose that occurs after a meal.

NSI® D-glucosyltransferase has a prebiotic effect that produces non-digestible oligosaccharides from the starches and sugars in the digestive tract. Since oligosaccharides cannot be broken down by the human digestive tract, carbohydrates become difficult for the body to digest. As a result, glucose intake may be reduced and blood glucose levels may be lowered.
