5,000 IU of Vitamin A as Betatene®, a powerful, patented form of vitamin A derived from a unique blend of important carotenoids found in fruits and vegetables to promote eye health, strong bones and healthy teeth.  Vitamin A supports healthy function of the eye’s retina, which is important for all aspects of good vision, including night vision. Vitamin A may also help lessen the risk of age-related vision concerns.

250 mg of Vitamin C as ascorbic acid, a naturally occurring form of vitamin C that has powerful antioxidant properties which support eye health.  Antioxidants such as vitamin C have been shown in studies to support macular health and promote clear, unclouded vision. The macula is the part of the eye responsible for clear, sharp central vision. Research has also shown that vitamin C may support eye health in those with unfavorable blood sugar levels, as individuals may have increased risk of encountering vision concerns. 

13 mg of Vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate (5-P-5), the active form of vitamin B6. The ability of this vitamin to lower homocysteine levels in the blood makes it an ideal vision-supportive nutrient, as elevated homocysteine levels are attributed to poor macular health. Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble vitamin not naturally stored in the body, and therefore it must be obtained through supplementation. 

100 mg of Magnesium in sulfate form for quick absorption and utilization by the body. Magnesium is an essential trace mineral the body needs to function properly. Early symptoms of magnesium deficiency include blurred vision, headaches and fatigue. It's estimated that the majority of Americans may not be getting enough magnesium through diet, as many processed foods and bottled water do not contain this mineral. Excessive consumption of coffee, soda and salt, and chronic stress, can also lead to depleted levels.

1,000 mg of Borage Oil with 23% GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), a member of the omega-6 essential fatty acid family. GLA is a precursor to several prostaglandins, hormone-like compounds that support blood vessel health and help regulate inflammatory response. Borage oil contains the highest percentage of GLA among the seed oils.

2,000 mg of Fish Oil (33% EPA and 22% DHA) that is pharmaceutical grade with high elemental levels of omega-3 EPA and DHA purified through molecular distillation to ensure the absence of impurities, including PCBs and heavy metals. Research suggests that the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA derived from fish oil may reduce the risk of poor macular health and may also support the body’s normal inflammatory response. Omega-3 EFAs may also inhibit the growth of abnormal blood vessels in the eye which often result in vision complications. 

6 mg of Lutein as 20% Lutemax® lutein extract, a patented form of lutein known for its potency and effectiveness.  Lutein is a nutrient crucial to central vision health that helps protect the macula from age-related issues. It is a carotenoid (natural pigment) that functions as an antioxidant, protecting healthy cells from damage caused by free radicals, while also filtering out potentially-dangerous, high-energy blue light from the visible light spectrum. After ingestion, lutein is deposited in the eyes, specifically in the macula and the lens.
