How Does NSI® FloraGLO® Lutein work?
Lutein (pronounced LOO-teen) is a carotenoid (natural pigment) found in green leafy vegetables, corn and eggs. It functions as an antioxidant protecting healthy cells from damage caused by free radicals, while also filtering out potentially dangerous high energy blue light from the visible light spectrum.
After ingestion, lutein is deposited in the eyes, specifically in the macula and the lens. The macula, located in the center of the retina, is responsible for producing the sharp, central vision needed to see fine detail (for reading, sewing, etc.). Higher lutein levels may be associated with macular health.
NSI® FloraGLO® Lutein is manufactured using a patented purification process that creates a version chemically identical to that found in vegetables and eggs. It is the only lutein on the market designated GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) for food and beverage products. Studies recommend taking 6 mg to 20 mg daily for eye health, antioxidant protection and more.
NSI® FloraGLO® Lutein is better because it:
Is purified with a patented manufacturing process
Is identical to the lutein found naturally in vegetables and eggs.
Did You Know?
All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.
