How Does NSI® Grape Seed Extract with Resveratrol work?
Grape seeds, from red grapes, are a natural source of protective compounds known as oligomeric proanthocyanidins or "OPCs." OPCs are bioflavonoid complexes that function as powerful antioxidants, working to neutralize cell-damaging free radicals.

Free radicals are unstable molecules, generated by normal body processes such as breathing, digestion and exercise, but also from exposure to pollution, UV radiation and other harmful substances in the environment. Free radicals are unstable because they're missing an electron. In order to replace the missing electron, they "attack" healthy cells, causing damage to membranes, mitochondria and DNA.

Free radical damage is believed to contribute to a variety of health complications, including cardiovascular and immune issues. It's also believed to play a part in the aging process.

NSI® Grape Seed Extract with Resveratrol combines high-quality grape seed extract, standardized to 95% polyphenols and 40% proanthocyanidins. It also contains resveratrol, another antioxidant substance found in grape seeds (as well as grape skin, other berries, peanuts and some plants). The resveratrol in this formula is derived from high-quality knotweed extract (Polygonum cuspidatum) standardized to 50% resveratrol.

In addition to grape seed and resveratrol, you'll also receive 250 mg of vitamin C, a well-known and highly effective antioxidant, as calcium ascorbate, a nonacidic form of vitamin C that's gentle on the stomach and enhances vitamin C absorption.
