Produced from the leaves of Olea Europaea, olive leaf extract has natural antimicrobial properties that may benefit skin as well as antioxidant properties that work to protect skin from free radical damage caused by sun exposure, pollution, toxins and more.

Fish Oil, 50 mg
Fish oil is a rich source of omega-3 essential fatty acids (EFAs), which are necessary for the formation and maintenance of cell membranes. EFAs may be of particular importance to skin, as skin cells continuously die and are replaced as part of normal body processes. Known symptoms of omega-3 EFA deficiency include dry/itchy skin, brittle hair and weak nails, further suggesting the importance of these nutrients to maintain optimal health and appearance of skin, hair and nails.

DMAE, 50 mg
DMAE, (dimethylaminoethenol), is a naturally occurring substance that benefits brain and skin health. A precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, DMAE stimulates nerve function and stimulates the muscles to contract and tighten under the skin. The loss in skin tone that occurs with aging may be due in part to a decrease in muscle contractions resulting from the decline of neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, which stimulates muscle contraction. Instead of staying tight during normal contraction, muscles become relaxed and may result in sagging in the face and body. Supplementing with DMAE may promote firmer, toner skin.

Soy Lecithin, 50 mg
Soy lecithin, derived from soybeans, consists of choline, inositol and three types of phospholipids, which are essential components of cell membranes. It may help facilitate skin cell renewal, promoting a smooth and healthy skin appearance.

MSM, 50 mg
MethylSulfonylMethane, or MSM, is a natural form of organic sulfur that’s responsible for the flexible bond between cells, including those that make up the skin. It’s necessary for the production of collagen and keratin, which are structural proteins that serve as building blocks for nails, skin, hair, joints and other connective tissues. Supplementing with MSM ensures the body has adequate amounts of sulfur to support nail, skin and hair health.

Collagen, 50 mg
Collagen is a protein that makes up connective tissue throughout the body. It’s the main protein responsible for the structural support of skin. Supplementing with collagen protein is believed to provide the components necessary for healthy collagen production in the body.

Aloe Vera, 50 mg
Aloe vera is a restorative plant extract that’s rich in vitamins, minerals and amino acids (necessary to build protein, which makes up hair, skin and nails). Aloe vera is believed to help hydrate and rejuvenate the skin and may promote healthy hair growth and appearance.

Hyaluronate Sodium, 10 mg
Hyaluronate sodium is a deriviative of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance present in every tissue of the body, with highest concentrations in joints and skin. It’s most important biological function is the retention of water. Hyaluronic acid is believed to hold on to more water than any other molecule in the body, which is vital in the production and maintenance of collagen and cartilage.

Antioxidants
NSI® Hair, Skin and Nails Formula contains a number of powerful antioxidant nutrients including 125 mg of vitamin C, 30 IU of vitamin E, 100 mg of alpha lipoic acid, 50 mg of grape juice extract and 50 mg of green tea extract. Antioxidants work to combat the damaging effects of free radicals, which are harmful molecules that attack healthy cells, destroying membranes and DNA and leading to the development of poor health and premature aging. Antioxidants act as a first line of defense against free radicals, deactivating them and stopping the chain reaction of destruction they could potentially cause.
