How does NSI® Healthy Blood Sugar with Resveratrol work?

Blood sugar refers to the amount of glucose in the blood. Glucose is the primary source of energy in the blood's cells and is transported via the bloodstream. NSI® Healthy Blood Sugar with Resveratrol contains beneficial amounts of chromium, gymnema sylvestre extract, bitter melon fruit and resveratrol. Chromium is an essential trace mineral important to the processing of carbohydrates and fats in the body. It also helps cells respond well to insulin, the hormone produced within the pancreas that makes blood sugar available as energy. Chromium is most readily absorbed by the body when combined with picolinic acid. 

Gymnema sylvestre is an herb that grows in South-east Asia. While its extract has been used in traditional folk medicine, today is best know for supporting healthy blood sugar levels, by helping to mediate insulin release. It is also believed to help maintain healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Bitter melon (Momordica charantia) grows in tropical areas, including parts of the Amazon, Africa and Asia. It contains constituents that help support healthy blood sugar levels, including steroidal saponins known as charantins which are insulin-like peptides and alkaloids.
