Mushroom Ultra-10 Complex is an exclusive blend of ten certified-organic mushroom extracts, including shiitake, cordyceps, reishi, blazei, maitake and more, providing wide-ranging nutritional benefits and immune-health support.

Mushrooms, which are classified as fungi (plants without roots, leaves, seeds or flowers that don't require sunlight to grow), rather than vegetables, are rich in vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids, protein and fiber. They contain B-complex vitamins (including folic acid and vitamin B12), vitamins C, D, E and K and minerals including selenium, potassium, iron, copper and zinc.

Mushrooms also contain compounds believed to posses immune-health-promoting properties. The most well known is beta-glucan, which consists of thousands of glucose molecules chemically bound together. Beta-glucan is believed to activate production of immune cells, including T-cells and natural killer cells.

Some mushrooms, such as the shitake, also contain a polysaccharide compound called lentinan. Lentinan may help counteract the formation of prostaglandins, which are hormone-like substances that play a part in inflammation and keep the immune system's T-cells from reaching maturity.

Another mushroom included in Mushroom Ultra-10 Complex is the cordyceps, which is rich in glucose, mannose and galactose polysaccharides. The cordyceps mushroom has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and contains two chemical constituents—cordycepin and cordycepic acid—that promote healthy lung function and may enhance energy levels.

This unique formula also include maitake mushroom extract, which may stimulate T-cell production. Maitake mushrooms, also known as the "lucky fungus", may also help promote healthy blood sugar and blood pressure levels.

In addition to 1,445 mg of Mushroom Ultra-10 blend per two-capsule serving, also included are 330 mg of cat's claw (Uncaria tomentosa) extract, which offers antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immune-enhancing benefits. A small amount of aloe vera is added to facilitate digestion.
