How does NSI® Probiotic 8-5 work?
Probiotics are friendly bacteria that live in the digestive tract. These microorganisms facilitate the proper digestion and absorption of food. Probiotics also help keep unfriendly bacteria and other potentially harmful intruders from colonizing within the body. Stress, poor diet, antibiotics and oral contraceptives can throw off the balance between these “good” and “bad” bacteria. This imbalance may lead to increased yeast growth or other gastrointestinal disturbances.
Probiotics are instrumental in helping maintain the healthy balance of this intestinal microflora mix. NSI® Probiotic 8-5 is a proprietary probiotic complex that delivers eight different strains of probiotic bacteria into the small intestines where they work to sustain a healthy equilibrium. It is a proprietary, vegetarian blend of beneficial non-GMO probiotics that includes L. acidophilus, L. casei, L. plantarum, B. longum, B. breve, Lactococcus lactis lactis and Pediococcus acidilactici. It also contains L. rhamnosus, a unique, high producer of polysaccharides that facilitate colonization and stimulate intestinal immune response.
NSI® Probiotic 8-5 is manufactured using the patented LiveBac® process for an improved probiotic shelf life, even at room temperature.
In addition, we utilize Viablend™ Gastric Acid Bypass Technology. Unlike enteric coated capsules, which can become brittle and crack or chip, rendering probiotics
ineffective when exposed to gastric acids, our capsules deliver more viable organisms to the intestinal tract.
NSI® Probiotic 8-5 is better because it:
-
Supplies 8 strains–5 billion probiotic microorganisms in each vegetarian capsule
-
Helps maintain proper balance between the microflora that co-exist in the digestive tract
-
Is a better value when compared to other brands

All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.
