Pygeum (Pygeum africanum) is an herb that is used to support prostate health in men. It is often used in combination with saw palmetto, beta-sitosterol and nettle root extract for this purpose. Pygeum has properties that help alleviate the swelling associated with prostate issues. An overgrowth of prostate tissue pushes against the urethra and the bladder, blocking the flow of urine. Pygeum has been evaluated to positively affect these flow issues.¹
