How Does Royal Jelly Work?
Royal Jelly is a milky white secretion produced by glands of worker bees. During the first three days of life, all bee larvae feed on this highly-concentrated food; future queen bees continue to consume this product, making the Queen Bee 50% larger than the other female worker bees, and contributing to stamina and longevity: Queen Bees typically live 4 or 5 years, compared to the workers, who live only about 40 days.
Because of this link to longevity, Royal Jelly is traditionally believed to possess powerful benefits. Royal Jelly has been found to be a rich source of protein, all the essential amino acids, unsaturated fats, natural sugars, minerals and vitamins B-5 and B-6. And, testing has indicated Royal Jelly possesses antibacterial properties.
