How does NSI® Senna 1,800 mg work?
The Senna shrub (Cassia angustifolia) is found in Africa, India, Pakistan, China, Egypt and the Sudan. The leaves and pods are the medicinal parts of the plant. They contain compounds called anthraquinones, which are powerful laxatives. They increase the peristaltic movements of the colon by their local action upon the intestinal wall, leading to evacuation of the bowel.
Senna contains hydroxyanthracene glycosides known as sennosides, which stimulate colon activity producing a laxative effect. These glycosides also increase fluid secretion by the colon, which softens the stool and increases its bulk.
Senna is one of the few herbs approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for over-the-counter use and may be one of the most widely used herbs in the United States.
NSI® Senna 1,800 mg is better because it:
-- Natural support for colon health.
-- Provides exceptional quality at extraordinary value.
