How does NSI® Lutein work?
Lutein is a carotenoid, a natural pigment found in many nutrient rich foods including green leafy vegetables and eggs. Lutein is also found in large concentrations within the eye’s retina and may be important to eye health.
After ingestion, lutein is deposited in the eyes, specifically in the macula and the lens. The macula, located in the center of the retina, is responsible for producing the sharp, central vision needed to see fine detail. Maintaining high lutein levels has been associated with macular health.
NSI Lutein delivers 20 mg of lutein in the patented, standardized form of Lutemax® naturally derived from marigold extract. NSI Lutein also supplies 840 mcg of zeaxanthin, as Lutemax. Zeaxanthin is a powerful carotenoid also found in green leafy vegetables and eggs. Located in the macula/retina, it may also help support eye health.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are powerful antioxidants that may help contribute to the cellular health of eyes and may help protect them from free radical damage. In addition, these nutrients may help shield eyes from the sun’s UV rays and may help inhibit eye concerns associated with the aging process.
NSI Lutein is better because it:
-
Delivers 20 mg of lutein and 840 mcg of zeaxanthin per each softgel serving
-
Supplies these nutrients as Lutemax, a patented form that is standardized to enhance purity and potency
-
Provides exceptional quality at extraordinary value

All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.
