In addition, Synergy Ultra Version 5 now includes new antioxidants: tocotrienols, gamma-tocopherol and delta-tocopherol which are potent forms of vitamin E.

Synergy Advanced has the important anti-aging, antioxidant trio of CoQ10 (400 mg in softgels for superior absorption), alpha lipoic acid (600 mg) and acetyl L-carnitine (1,000 mg) which together are synergistic for increasing cellular energy production and may protect the heart and brain from cell-damaging free radicals.

Synergy Advanced features numerous antioxidant nutrients that may help protect against LDL oxidation, neuronal oxidation and other damage to healthy cells by unstable free radical molecules. Among them are standardized green tea extract, grape seed extract, pomegranate extract,  BerryVin™ High ORAC berry complex, quercetin, ginkgo biloba extract, Lyc-O-Mato® lycopene, and more.

Omega-3 essential fatty acids (EFA), beneficial for cardiovascular, neurological, vision, skin, and joint health are included as Mega EFA®, with 800 mg of EPA and 400 mg of DHA. The fish oil is derived from fresh, deep-sea, coldwater fish, harvested from waters off the coast of South America, where there are significantly less environmental impurities. It also undergoes the process of molecular distillation to ensure mercury and any other potential contaminants are eliminated.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are antioxidants which are concentrated in the macula of the retina (where we have our high resolution vision such as for reading) where they improve and maintain eye macula pigment structure. Furthermore, lutein and zeaxanthin together with omega-3 EPA and DHA, and certain antioxidants including alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, and Opti-Zinc® support visual health by protecting against UV-light-induced oxidative stress.

Highly absorbable calcium (calcium citrate malate and Advan-C®) together with magnesium, vitamin D and vitamin K can help support bone density and health. Vitamin D3 (2,000 IU) may help promote normal cell growth. Glucosamine sulfate (1,500 mg) promotes healthy joint function and may also provide relief from pain associated with poor joint health when taken continuously for several months at a time. Probiotics and aged garlic (600 mg) promote healthy intestinal function and, together with vitamin E, selenium, CoQ10 and turmeric extract, may enhance immunity. And since most of us do not meet the daily serving requirements of fruits and vegetables in our diet, we've included fruits, broccoli and other vegetable concentrates and extracts.

Synergy Advanced has L. acidophilus and B. bifidum, two probiotics that promote healthy digestion, intestinal activity and colon regularity; turmeric extract (500 mg, standardized to 95% curcuminoids) which supports immune and neurological health and provides antioxidant protection; milk thistle extract (500 mg, standardized as 80% silymarin) which together with alpha lipoic acid promotes healthy liver function; selenium which protects cell membranes and contents and works with other antioxidants to boost their protective abilities; and lycopene (10 mg, as Lyc-O-Mato®, a standardized tomato extract) for cardiovascular, prostate and immune health.
