Description
NSI® Uva Ursi may help support urinary tract health through it's active constituent arbutin, a hydroquinone derivative
How does NSI® Uva Ursi work?
Uva Ursi (Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi) is an evergreen shrub that grows in alpine forests throughout Europe, North America, the Iberian Peninsula, Siberia, and the Himalayas. Also know as bearberry, it has traditionaly been used since the 2nd century as an astringent and healing remedy. Native Americans used it to support urinary tract health.
Today, it is also commonly used to promote healthy urinary tract functions. The primary compound in uva ursi is arbutin (or arubutin), a derivative of hydroquinone. The stomach absorbs arbutin and changes it into a substance that supports a healthy urinary tract. As it passes out of the body during urination, arbutin acts on the mucus membranes of the urinary tract to help soothe irritation and inflammation.
NSI® Uva Ursi is better because it:
- Contains 1,000 mg of uva ursi in each safe, convenient 2 capsule serving.
- Is a better value when compared to other brands.
