"I bought and reviewed this product on Amazon, but I thought I would review it here as well since people post a lot of vitamin reviews here on Vitacost. I am going to post a copy of my Amazon review here:

I am a big fan of New Chapter's products. I regularly use 4 of them. The discountinued New Chapter Mental Clarity was one of them. I eagerly awaited for this Lifeshield mushroom medicinals line which is supposed to replace the old New Chapter Mycomedicinals line (I guess the company was not ablet to agree with its old supplier and had a to acquire a new muchroom supplier). I was hoping that the quality and the potency of these muchrooms would be similar to the old line. However, I have been greatly disappointed. Both the quality and the potency of this product is severely lacking. The old formula was very effective in clearing the mind and putting me in a calm and focused state. This product does not do that at all. With this product I feel no difference - might as well not take it at all.

This is very supprising - I certainly expected a lot more out of a product with a New Chapter label on it. In my opinion, New Chapter makes the best and most potent supplements and herbs and before this product I have literally never tried a New Chapter product that I did not like. Unfortuntaly this is the first. I loved the old formula and depended on it for stressful work situations, but now I am out of a "must have" supplement. I tried the medicinal mushrooms from Fungi Perfecti and Mushroom Science and found both to lack the quality and the potency that Mental Clarity offered. Wish I knew a good replacement product because so far I have not been able to find one."

"I used the old formula of this product... and I feel it was much better for me and my wife.

This updated version is good, and works well... just not as well as the old formula.

It is better than all the other similar type of products on the market."
