"I don't know what Nordic Naturals did, but sometime in the last three months, they changed the formula on these. For the past three years, all three of my children, current ages 7, 5, & 3 ate these with no problems along with a couple other daily vitamins. About a month ago, I opened up a new bottle, gave them all their 4 pills, and each one almost in sync complained that they tasted bad. At first I thought that maybe they needed a day or two in the refrigerator, but that didn't change anything. So I sent them back for a replacement, thinking I got a bad bottle. But unfortunately when the new bottle arrived, same thing. I also noticed that they feel firmer than they used to, and I'm guessing that's no coincidence. Regardless, though I have a high regard for the efficacy of Nordic Natural products, I no longer recommend these unless your kids can swallow them whole."

"This is a softgel chewable, shell is not easy to swallow. Kids prefer real chewables not the type that squirt in your mouth. Has alittle fishy aftertaste!"

"The Nordic line has independent tests for mercury unlike any other DHA brand that I know of. You don't know if other brands fish oil is safe, and if you are giving it to kids, that is a concern. My kids like the strawberry taste, and they take them every day."
