"I'm sorry to say that this may be a great lotion and very effective, but the smell is so nauseating that I can't use it. I didn't ding any points from the effectiveness because I didn't think that would be fair, since I can't stand the smell long enough to give it a chance. It smells sickly sweet and vitamin-y, sort of like the way Flintstones vitamins smell. In fact almost exactly the way that Flintstones smell - so if you stand to radiate that smell from your body, then this might be okay. I put some on my feet and then put socks on and immediately washed my hands and that worked out okay, so I will keep it for emergency situations like rashes or bites or in the unlikely event that I break out in pox or something, but that is it. It is probably just a matter of personal taste since there are several other reviewers who seem unbothered by the scent, but be aware that the Flintstones smell is VERY strong."

"I have been using this product for several years for a variety of problems. Anytime I start scratching an itch, my skin flares up and the itching sometimes gets worse. Instead, I just apply a little neems lotion and within a couple of minutes, the itching stops. It is fantastic for bug bites -- spiders, mosquitoes, fire ants, etc. It doesn't take the pain away completely for some of the worse bites (fire ants, for example); however, it helps alleviate the itching of mosquito bites and seems to pull the poison out so they heal much faster. Same with spiders bites. Also, if I have a very dry area on my skin, on goes the neems lotion. My husband doesn't care for the smell, but it seems fresh and clean to me (maybe because it does so much good).
