"We've only had the PUR pitcher for slightly over two months but, so far, we're very happy with it. Water tastes great, much better than before. The pitcher itself appears to be sturdily made. It's a good size; not too big or too small. We had to change the filter, according to the LED indicator, after about 6 weeks of use, but that probably depends on how much water you drink. All in all, very happy with the purchase."

Pur Water Filtration System 7 Cup Pitcher with Filter Change Light Directions

Soak new filter in cold water for 15 minutes.
Flush filter by running under cold water for 10 seconds. Allow excess water to drain from filter.
Insert filter and align pegs on the filter with the grooves in the blue tray.
Twist the filter clock-wise to seal the filter in the blue tray.

Filters up to 40 Gallons/151 Liters (1-2 months)

Replace your filter every 1-2 months. Use the PUR Filter life calendar cling inside as a helpful reminder. If your water contains high levels of sediment, the life of your filter can be reduced.

It is not unusual for carbon dust to be in your first 1 or 2 pitchers of filtered water. Carbon fines are harmless.

Warnings

The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water filter are not necessarily in all users' water.

Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts. Individuals requiring water of certain microbiological purity should consult their physician.
