True, Velleron will never grace the cover of a tourism catalog. But if it's gloriously fresh produce you seek instead of scenery, you will have come to the right place. No wonder, then, we were inspired to create this French-Style Herb Whole Grain Blend of millet, brown rice and quinoa. Every bite brings u back to those tables overflowing with incredible herbs at Velleron. Which, not unlike our plates, would get wiped clean almost instantly.

Seeds of Change Velleron French-Style Herb Whole Grain Blend Directions

Stovetop Directions

Add 1 Tbsp olive oil (optional) to a medium sauce pan and sauté the grains over medium-high heat. Stir frequently until the grains are golden brown (about 2 to 3 minutes).
Add 2 cups of water and seasonings, stir and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover and simmer 22 to 25 minutes or until water is absorbed.
Remove from heat, stir and re-cover. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Microwave Directions

Combine rice, seasonings, 2 cups of hot water and 1 Tbsp. of olive oil (optional) in a microwave-safe glass dish. Stir well.
Cover and microwave on high power for 5 minutes. Stir half-way through cooking time to ensure uniform heating of the grains.
Keep the grain mixture covered, reduce to medium heat (50%) and cook for 30-35 minutes. Stir occasionally to distribute flavors.
Remove from microwave and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Suggested cooking time may vary with different appliances.

This item has no added gluten to the ingredients, but is manufactured on lines which produce items that do contain gluten. A thorough cleaning of the production lines is done between production runs (hot water / sterilization / high pressure air).
