"The vitamin consultants at the health food store informed me this formula has most everything needed to help assimilate calcium, and as the 2:1 ratio of calcium to magnesium is the most balanced for assimilation as well. This formula has some vitamin D-2 (synthetic) in it, but not enough for most people. I take natural D-3 supplements in addition to this formula and have my D checked periodically when I do labs, and to keep in the desired healthy "D" zone. Great calcium product though and will continue to purchase from Vitacost."
