Not as expected!

"I bought this to replace one I've had for years. I use it instead of a neti pot or sinurinse bottle for flushing my sinuses. It's plastic, not rubber like my old one. The plastic is SO FIRM that you cannot squeeze it. Even for use on infants, I can't imagine it'll work if you cannot squeeze the bulb. Still looking for a rubber one to replace the old one! :("

The First Years American Red Cross Hospital-Style Nasal Aspirator Directions

To Use:

Child should be reclining, with head elevated slightly.

Wash before initial use; (see below).
Compress bulb to expel all air.
Keeping bulb compressed, insert tip into baby's nostril.
Release bulb slowly to draw mucus from nostril.
Remove tip from nostril and expel mucus by squeezing and releasing bulb.
Repeat as necessary.

NOTE: Over-insertion guard will help prevent inserting tip too far. (Mucous membranes are sensitive.)

To clean:

Pull open plug on base. Dishwasher-safe (top rack or utensil basket only). Or wash in warm soapy water. Squeeze and release bulb several times to flush interior thoroughly. To rinse, repeat in warm clear water. Drain and dry. Do not boil.
