Beta carotene is a carotenoid, or type of plant pigment that gives red, orange and yellow fruits and vegetables their color. Carotenoids are antioxidants that help protect plants from UV light and environmental stressors.
Betatene mixed carotenoids are derived from Dunaliella salina algae cultivated in salt water from the Southern and Indian Oceans of Australia. They’re harvested without the use of chemical additives and solvents and extracted and formulated using only natural plant oils.
