"Caution the Vitacost website lists the product ingredients of this product as consisting of anchovies and sardines. However, the product label on the actual product lists different ingredients - namely mackerel as well as sardines and anchovies. Vitacost to its credit was very responsive in authorizing a return of the mislabeled product."

"This is a really good price for a molecularly distilled fish oil, which easily fetch 5 times the vitacost price. I take it almost everyday and the lemon eradicates any potential aftertaste. I also empty a capsule on my 70lbs dog's food - a much better value than buying the pet specific supplements, and you know it's a better quality product because it's meant for humans! It makes an equivalent dosage as that recommended for the size - not too much. Rating 4 only on effectiveness because as with all supplements it's hard to know exactly what it does, and if it's a result of this supplement or another, or just your food or lifestyle. Only rating 4 on quality because I do not know exactly what they put in or how, and part of me always questions a bit things I can't check with my own eyes. But in general, NSI does offer quality supplements and match the best companies's processes while offering much lower prices."

"Received this product and immediately after opening it I almost fell over from the wall of nasty raw fish smell I was hit with. Low quality for a low price. You will never experience this from quality fish oils (nordic naturals/carlsons). I guess you get what you pay for here. No wonder NSI doesnt participate in consumer labs reviews and tests. who knows whats in those capsules....gross....back to nordic naturals for me. To make it worse I have to pay for shipping to return....almost the same price I paid for this bottle of nastiness. See ya vitacost...what a joke."
