What is SAM-e?
S-adenosyl methionine (SAM-e) is a precursor of glutathione, an antioxidant naturally produced by the liver. It functions as a major methyl donor in the brain, involved in the pathways for the synthesis of hormones, neurotransmitters, nucleic acids, proteins and phospholipids.*

Individuals using prescribed medications, such as antidepressants, including Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitors and MAO Inhibitors, should consult a physician before using. Individuals with Parkinson’s disease, bipolar disorder or manic depression should not use SAM-e. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Do not exceed recommended dose.
