"You can tell when a Korean ginseng product has potency. There is a feeling of euphoria that comes within minutes of taking it, otherwise absent. Moreover, there is a heightened feeling of drive that causes ginseng to have the reputation as being an aphrodisiac. Finally, if you take too much without enough water intake during the day, you risk dehydration and constipation.

This product is an ethanol extract with some ethanol in the bottle. A tincture. But like many alcohol-based ginseng formulations, you need to discern if that sense of product strength is from the ginseng or an illusion from the alcohol. One way is to heat it up (say in a hot drink) which tends to drive off the volatile ethanol. Then the question is: do you still get that ginseng buzz?

I am pleased to say that this product is amongst the best ginsengs I have had, short of cooking my own in a pot. As a mixture of 4 ginsengs, it is more than just the Korean variety, which is why I get it. Its ingredient list makes it better balanced. And I drink plenty of fluids during the day."
